Sue Gibbons – Company Director

After serving in the Northwest Ambulance Service, formerly GMAS, for numerous years, I was unfortunately injured on duty in 1998, leading to medical discharge in 1999. At this point in my life I returned to a previous skill of Freelance Embalming for various funeral directors over the northwest and central England. This was the start of my second career. Over the coming years I was asked many times, "Why not do this for yourself as a business". Only after the loss of my Father did this seem appropriate, as seeing how his service was conducted, I knew I could do it better. Jump forward a few years and I am looking at property to rent within the local area and with the knowledge and support of my husband, Karl, I took the plunge to try and give the people of Wigan & Surrounding areas the type of service they deserve.

Karl Gibbons, Senior Funeral Director

I started in the Funeral Industry back in 1999 as a part time driver, working my way up to the position of full time funeral director. This position was held at Co-op Funeralcare and also at Carriages Funeral Services, Manchester. After being away from the industry for a number of years, My wife had the opportunity to open a funeral company of her own, and since this I have gradually come back to do what I love, giving her support in moving the business forward.
